Whether it be psychological, financial, or cultural, it makes it no difference.

How do I define Familial Parasitism?

Traditionally negative entities use the most crass and primitive system of terrorizing humanity such as making things float in the air, giving people demonic voices, or hurling really gnarly insults at the innocent bystanders through a possessed person. I am speaking of demonic or other forces that may possess a human being that usually make their methods known by obvious turning someone like your best friend into an 'evil' version of your best friend.
